Synopsis
Mit subtilem Humor und grausamer Genauigkeit erzählt ALLE ANDEREN von den widersprüchlichen Sehnsüchten eines Paares auf der Suche nach seiner Identität. Eine intime Liebesgeschichte, die in die Tiefen einer Beziehung eintaucht und sich dabei ganz auf das feine, berührende Spiel ihrer Darsteller verlässt. ALLE ANDEREN erzählt die Geschichte von Gitti (Birgit Minichmayr) und Chris (Lars Eidinger), einem ungleichen Paar, das sich in abgeschiedener Zweisamkeit durch einen Urlaub kämpft. Wir lernen zwei Menschen kennen, wie sie nur sein können, wenn sie alleine sind: geheime Rituale, Albernheiten, unerfüllte Wünsche und Machtkämpfe. Ausgelöst durch ein scheinbar unwichtiges Ereignis - die Begegnung mit einem anderen Paar - gerät die Beziehung ins Wanken ... Die Hauptrollen spielen Birgit Minichmayr und Lars Eidinger, gedreht wurde der Film im Sommer 2007 auf Sardinien. EVERYONE ELSE tells the story of an uneven couple (Chris and Gitti), who are struggling through a holiday in secluded togetherness. We get to know two people as they can only be when they’re alone: their secret rituals, silly habits, unfulfilled desires and power struggles. The encounter with another couple leads their relationship to falter. The others are not only more successful; they are also adept at maintaining a conventional male-female relationship behind a modern façade. Chris starts to model himself upon them, attempting to enforce boundaries on his idiosyncratic girlfriend. This shakes Gitti’s faith in him. Her attempt to conform to his new ideal goes from being a daring flirtation with a new role to become a silent war against herself. Whilst Chris blossoms in the role of the strong one, and opens towards Gitti in a new way, Gitti is in danger of losing herself. The leads are played by Birgit Minichmayr and Lars Eidinger. Shooting took place in Sardinia in Summer 2007. |
